Lots of fun and much easier to breathe with it now. Not sure whether it would be good for performance to have such a heavy beat but I shall try it both ways. The music is Voltaic Oscillation by Araqknid

of One Woman. It's slicker but I'm not sure the sound quality is any better. Any comments?

Without exception, everyone who mentions my poems to me, says that this one kept coming back into their mind. That's a nice thought. It's perhaps one of my shortest ever poems but it says a lot, I think. Happy muzak! yay!
The Shopping List
Folded neatly, once, discarded in the basket
with a snippet of leaf from a cabbage, I think,
a pointless piece of somebody else’s life
that gets trapped between my fromage and my frais.
Carried home with me, in my bag for life,
(predictably frayed at the edges)
and perused over freshly purchased ginger tea,
I read,
‘One pt of milk,
One wholemeal sliced,
Carrot and swede (diced),
One chicken breast’
Then written in a different hand,
as though a secret thought,
or a cherished wish…
'flowers'.

This proved to be popular at my last performance... I changed the word 'penis' to 'doodah' which didn't do the rhythm any harm and raised an extra titter as I'd already explained what I was going to do. I wish I could perform it while I was out busking but it's probably still a little close to the fishbone.

And I cursed and cursed my washing machine breaking. Silver linings and all that... I hope to do a video next week for this. I've certainly got the laundry piling up in preparation. (Special thanks to the lovely lady in Bubbles Launderette, Church Road, Hove for letting me video her tumble drying last week, haha).
Music by the wonderful Somewhere Off Jazz Street once again as their voice suits this kind of poem so perfectly.

Yes, I've always had a thing for drummers but purely on an intellectual level, of course. This is one of my personal favourite podcasts. Music courtesy of the amazing, astounding FQU.

will always make this a slightly uncomfortable poem for me but it is supposed to represent hypocrisy both in the church and in the media. I think God would approve, haha. (I'm going to have fun mixing a video for this.) Put this together as a nod to Philip and his project.

I really just wanted to call this Life, but I thought that might be a little melodramatic (which I am trying to avoid lately, ha!) The consensus seems to be Life in C Major but I shall keep the title above for now. Oh well, deep breath and...

Just for me probably. Hmmmm... can you tell the metaphor in the last section? Or is it just my abstract mind one step too far? (Yes, that's a car horn at the critical point - bastard white van man!)
I can't do the umlaut in the title, which is frustrating the bejeebers out of me, so I'll do it here...
